Job Stimulus ideas for Mr. Obama

These are about $80.  Buy a trillion of them and give them out as gifts for people that get a job (not in the public sector).

In a completely related statement YOU KNOW YOU WANT ONE!

Liveblogging State of the Union Speech

Um, not here.

I predict that our President will state things like, "we need to create jobs," "I inherited the problems," "quotation marks should be contained within quotes," and finally "I greatly admire Karl Marx."

I think there should be an amendment to the grammar constitution allowing me to put quotation marks outside of quotes.

Another weekend in the books

diǎn xīn anyone?

More Dim sum today.  Found a new restaurant and it's even better than the last one.  Will visit a couple of times and see if it's consistent and if so, will reveal the secret.  If you're ever in Atlanta and want to know the inside skinny on succulent mastication locations, lemme know.  I love me some Dim sum.

What the heck is Mr. Stewert Magooert talking about (in case you don't know what Dim sum is) (you poor soul):

From Wikipedia
Dim sum  pronunciation "diǎn xīn", 點心) is the name for a southern Chinese cuisine which involves a wide range of light dishes served alongside Chinese tea.  Yum cha (literally "drinking tea") is the term used to describe the entire dining experience, especially in contemporary Cantonese. It is usually served in the mornings until noon time at Chinese restaurants and at specialty dim sum eateries where typical dishes are available throughout the day. Dishes come in small portions and may include meat, seafood and vegetables as well as desserts and fruit.  The items are usually served in a small steamer basket or on a small plate.

Ready for Monday ya'all?

Thoughts on Haiti

Unreal

First off, how horrible.  The people of Haiti deserve better than what they're getting.  I pray for Haiti and ask that God give the people strength.  They do NOT deserve this.

Now, is anyone asking why the Haitian government isn't more on top of this?  I saw the Haitian President on TV and he looked like he was in pretty good shape.  Other than losing his PALACE.  Haiti is one of the poorest nations on earth and the President lives in a Palace.  How about directing some of that "wealth envy" to corrupt government officials?

And I don't know about you, but watching Dub'ya tell me to "Jest send yer cash" makes me want to send blankets and water.

Get Stewed

You.  Yes you.  Get on it.

So.  I'm still alive.  I'm still breathing and I still have my cute and fuzzy muppet.  My choice to delete the old blog was mostly due to the fact that The extra special person not in my life (TM) was hell bent on using anything and everything found online to show what a supreme ass I am (not was please notice).

I enjoy this too much though.  So I deleted the old blog and started anew.  You weren't missing much anyway.  I would like to take a moment to apologize to everyone that I met on and offline for my abrupt disappearance lo these eight or so months ago (has it been that long?).  I do value friendships and have tried as diligently as possible to keep up with your blogs and occasionally send an email or two even though I've been largely mute online (excepting FaceBorkBorkBork).

Ya'll, have a great one.  Try and be happy.  Be nice to children, old people and animals.  Eat meat.  Visit a beach somewhere and sleep all day.  Live, love and laugh.

I'm back (for now anyway), wish me well will'ya?

My little boy Ali is getting really old :(

W e thought we were going to lose him a couple of weeks ago.  He wouldn't eat and barely drank water and was having siezures every coupl...
